Pat Dalbey is an American multi-instrumentalist and composer who grew up in Northern New Jersey, where he began performing and writing music at the age of 12. In 2014, he graduated from the John J. Cali School of Music with a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Studies, studying jazz upright bass with Bill Moring and composition with Alan Ferber.
After moving to Brooklyn, New York, in 2014, he began performing regularly with the blues/roots group Joaquin and the Hot Knives and the hip-hop collective Boom Bits, among other bands and artists. He co-wrote and produced a song featured in a Spike Lee film and has performed with the Parsons Dance Company. Currently, he is leading an experimental, groove-based trio, working toward an album release, and teaching private lessons to both kids and adults.
